Restaurant: Ed's Seafood Shed

Do you love seafood? Then you should try Ed's Seafood Shed. Ed's specializes in fresh Gulf seafood cooked the "old Mobile way."

A few of the delicious dishes at Ed's include:
  • gumbo
  • soft shell crabs
  • buffalo shrimp
  • grilled tuna steaks
  • mango pie
But what is Ed's best known for? General Manager Josh Meaders said that it's the "yo momma's platter."
According to Meaders, it's so much food that you will have a very hard time trying to finish your plate.
"It's got fish, scallops, shrimp, oysters, crab claws. Served with fries, hushpuppies, and grits, greens and gumbo," said Meaders.

The restaurant also offers smaller grilled portions as a healthy alternative to fried food. The healthier portions are served with vegetables.

During spring and summer, you can relax on the deck and look out on Mobile Bay while listening to a live band play.

So, if you want some true southern seafood, then hop on over to Ed's Seafood Shed.
